I have my fabrics all laid out and I’m starting on a new order today. This is for customers that I worked for about 8 years ago. They recently purchased a charcoal grey sofa and grey/black shag rug. Their new chair has a leaf design in shades of grey, taupe, and red on a cream background. The previous window treatments that I’d made for them were valances with a lovely fringe trim. With their new furniture I suggested a very different look for their room by adding drapes and tailored valances. The pinch pleated drapes will be constructed from the striped fabric. And the valances will be made from the diamond like motif fabric, lined in the cream, and banded in grey. I’m making two 18” pillows from the stripe fabric which will sit on their sofa, and a 14”x19” lumbar pillow from the red fabric with grey cord and buttons. I feel this fabric combination and treatment style will give a fresh, yet cozy look to this space that is regularly enjoyed by this couple and their two feline fur babies.
